Terms & Conditions

1.  The publications and databases produced by The Economic Data Institute (EDI) are intended for professional users; and are not suitable for casual readers, students, or the general public. These are Business-to-Business products and not Consumer products.

2.  Before purchasing a Summary (Entry) level publication it is necessary that purchasers download and read the Free descriptive Brochure for the publications or database in question, in order to fully understand the contents of the exact publication being purchased.

3. Before purchasing the Database level publications it is necessary that purchasers have already purchased the Entry (Summary) level publication, in order to confirm that the purchaser fully understands the contents of the database being purchased.

3.  The publications and databases are supplied as 'downloads' and therefore there is no 14 day right to cancel.

4.  In that these are professional products, and not consumer products, there is no right of return, or refund.

5.  Database level publications

5.1  When clients purchase a database they are ordering the generation of a database from which the client's final specification is produced.

5.2  EDI will output the widest possible database so that the client will have the best possible opportunity to obtain all the information they will need; both in terms of the primary database output and thereafter any subsequent After-Sales Service work.

5.3  EDI databases are produced by entirely computerised systems and thus any database is usually a 'slice' or 'extract' of more than one database.   Obviously if the first output requires refining then it is a fairly easy process for clients to order as many re-runs of the database as they need.  This is done at a reduced cost as part of the normal After-Sales Service.

5.4  EDI reserve the right to output comparable data if the geographic, product or service specifications have changed, or the consumption definitions have altered, or the technical terminology or definitions used have changed.

5.5  EDI will generate FREE OF CHARGE further database reports in the event of computer error; however no liability is accepted in respect of database, computer or process errors.

5.6  EDI reserve the right to change or amend the contents of reports and databases without prior notice.

5.7  All Database order are accepted strictly under the Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale.

6.  Confidentiality

Clients will never be identified to third parties as being buyers of EDI products, and no information regarding clients is ever disclosed to third parties.  EDI do not publish a reference list of current clients.
